该住宅的特点是开发商为了增加住宅户内隐含的使用面积，设置了大量的飘窗形式，最夸张处一个10平米左右的卧室就有3扇飘窗。在90平左右的住宅使用空间，中具有9扇大小、位置、深度各异的飘窗。设计希望将空间中所有人可以使用的元素，包含“桌”、“座”、“柜”、“榻”等与飘窗如同壁龛般的凹陷形式结合，合理利用面积的同时，释放出室内可供聚集与活动的空间。项目最终成为了一次关于“飘窗类型学”的设计实验。

Bay windows are often seen in residential apartments in Shanghai for they are technically complimentary floor areas.  The developer of this particular 90-sqm-flat took the idea to the next level. The total number of bay windows in one flat goes up to nine,  and three of which are located within one 10-sqm-bedroom. Determined to transform the “white elephant” into usable floor area, a design experiment regarding the bay windows got unveiled. Through wrapping, filling, and attaching,  a dinning bench, a sofa, two beds, a headboard, and three closets found their ways to take up the space usually left unused of the recessed niche-like area of the bay windows. This way, the residents get to enjoy a lot more out of the 90 sqm for gathering and family activities.
